Omaha is growing!🔥 Officials are planning what the City would look like and feel like in the next 20 to 30 years. We at @houseofbahfoundation would like to achieve a few of these goals below using culturally affirming cuisines education as a catalyst. If you care to create a community where every cultures is valued, celebrated and shared equally, share our post, invite people to sign up using the link in our bio.
Intermediate Outcomes:
1. Greater appreciation for cultural diversity in Omaha
2. Expanded social networks between immigrant and non-immigrant communities
3. Increased opportunities for immigrant/refugee chefs in the local food industry
4. More frequent cross-cultural and interfaith interactions in the community
Long-term Outcomes:
1. Improved community integration for immigrant and refugee populations
2. Reduction in cultural stereotypes and misconceptions
3. Enhanced social cohesion and mutual respect among diverse groups
4. Economic empowerment of immigrant/refugee communities through culinary skills

New cohorts start this October and November.
